How can I expedite the testing?
You can download the Hair Cutting Directions Follow the directions on the form.  Put your hair sample into a small envelope or plastic bag and then place it into a envelope with the completed Directions form and mail it to us.  This will save you the time of waiting to receive a sampling kit from us.  You will also need to complete your purchase either by sending us the Payment Form or by completing your payment at the online store. Please make a note in the comment section that you are shipping the hair sample to us directly. 

How long till I get my results?
About ten days after we receive the sample of hair for the Basic and the Complete Packages. The Platinum can take upto 3 weeks.

How do I know if I am sending enough hair?
It is better to send too much than too little.  We need at least .025 grams of hair.  This is approximately one tablespoon full of hair.

My hair is colored or permed, will it still work?
Yes, but wait 15 hair washings to take the test.  Or you may choose to send us Pubic hair.  Just mark on the form which type of hair you are sending us.

Will the protocol get rid of my pain?
Most of our clients have found their symptoms to be greatly reduced or eliminated.  This is because we continue to work with our clients even after the testing is completed.

How does toxic metals effect children with ADD or ADHD?
They can cause nervous system distress and can prevent essential nutrients from being absorbed.

How often should I get a hair analysis?
We recommend testing every 6 months to see if your protocol should be updated.

What do I get for my money?
The Basic Package includes your lab results with reference ranges and information on all 20 minerals tested. The Complete Package includes everything in the Basic plus a suggested ditary protocol based on the lab results and your answers on the Questionnaire. The Platinum Package contains everything in the Complete plus an additional thirteen minerals/ metals.

Is this covered by my insurance?
At this time, insurance does not cover this testing.

Is it accurate?
Yes.  Our lab has over a quarter of a century experience in performing Hair Analysis.  We have access to a tremendous database of results and protocol to draw upon.  This together with our own professional experience gives you the assurance of getting the most accurate results and protocols available.

Why do I need to fill out the questionnaire?
Our practitioner needs the  information about you and your health concerns to write an accurate protocol.

Is all my information confidential?
Yes.  All your information is secured and can only be released with your authorization.

Can I get my money back?
You can receive a full refund (less shipping & handling) if our lab has not yet performed the analysis of the hair.

Can you diagnose with a hair analysis?
No. Hair Analysis cannot be used to diagnosis any medical condition.  It is best used to identify toxins that have accumulated in the bodies tissues and nutrient deficiencies.  If a diagnosis is needed, the hair analysis results can be used to direct you to the testing needed to get a diagnosis.

Should I wash my hair before the test?
Yes, but do not use hair spray or styling products

Nutritionally Yours Medical Insurance Policy

Nutritionally Yours feels that the services we provide to our clients are diminished when the restrictions of needing to conform to medical insurance guidelines are in place.  We also realize that the additional administrative cost of processing insurance claims would have to be passed on to all our clients, including those without insurance coverage.  After careful review, Nutritionally Yours has decided that our commitment to helping our clients regain and maintain their help is more important than any additional revenue we might gain by accepting medical insurance.  It is for this reason that Nutritionally Yours does not accept medical insurance.

Nutritionally Yours will help our clients with medical insurance to get reimbursed for medical expenses.  Upon request, we will provide our clients with the receipts they need in order for them to file an Out of Network Claim with their insurer.  Nutritionally Yours cannot guarantee patients will be reimbursed.
